We at Handbell Services often use the word "flowing" to describe some handbell music -- and this arrangement by Keven may be the outstanding example we know. Moving 8th notes appear in literally every measure, weaving and interweaving in all parts -- with a very active bass line and with a very busy middle battery. The familiar tune is played several times, with varying creative accompaniments and with a couple of key change -- and there are many interpretive dynamic changes for a sensitive choir. It is basic Level 3, but a busy Level 3 -- and we like this very much (and have performed it) at Handbell Services.
• Keys of Ab and C Major, 3/4 time signature, marked "flowing" 96 speed
• 8th notes everywhere, with quarters and some dotted quarter/8ths; there are occasional accidentals, but nothing hard to accomplish
• There are no special techniques
• Dynamics range from mp to ff, with long crescendo and decrescendo lines that demand a listening choir
