Product Description

Dirty Dozen = 12 cloths for the price of 10

Also available as single cloths:  Sunshine Cloth singles

Owner Susan Berry first discovered the Sunshine Cloth as an effective 'tool' for cleaning sterling silver jewelry.  An epiphany occurred..."use it for bronze castings!"  Now popular throughout the ringing community, it's by far the BEST and most effective polishing cloth for removing finger marks, smudges, and basic tarnish.

General maintenance is important.  Wipe off the castings after every rehearsal and/or concert.  For efficiency, we recommend one cloth per ringer - it gradually darkens, but will last normally for a full season.

  • Size: 5 1/2" x 7.5"; very effective as a personal cloth for each bell position
  • Soft, effective with a special non-scratch micro-abrasive
  • No powder residue at all -- easy to use
  • Non-toxic, non-scratch micro-abrasives
  • Polishing action works until the cloth is completely darkened on both sides
  • Also cleans silver, copper and brass; non washable

Helpful hint: it's recommended that approximately once a year the castings be cleaned with Blue Magic cream, to restore the full luster of new handbells.  Sunshine cloths are handiest for regular use, but occasionally those hard-to-remove spots will need cream and a bit of elbow grease.

  1. Good but small

    Posted by jtebbel97@gmail.com on Oct 19th 2017

We like the sunshine cloths and they have provided time for a bit of camaraderie at the end of rehearsal while we wipe the bells. However, they are quite small so that some people can't use their whole hand to polish.

  2. Polishing cloths

Posted by Susan Paulk on Sep 22nd 2016

I bought our bell group these same polishing cloths a few years ago at a bell festival. We have liked them so well (there's no mess or streaking), so I decided to buy another set for our future use.

  3. No mess shine

Posted by Jay on Feb 3rd 2016

This is our first set and we love them. No mess and the bells shine at the end of rehearsal. This is the route to go to keep the bells looking good throughout the bell year.

  4. Wonderful Sunshine Clothes

My bells have never been so clean and shiny and even better I don't get all dirty cleaning them. These are wonderful!!

  5. polishing cloths

We like the yellow polishing cloths much better that the old red/brown ones. They are smaller, less messy, and do a good job of cleaning the bells.

  6. Can't Do Without

Posted by Unknown on Sep 5th 2013

We ring without gloves and wipe down our bells after EVERY use. The ringers can't imagine putting bells in the cases without first wiping them down. Sunshine cloths are simple for the kids to use, work very well, and keep the bells cleaned off.I don't know what we'd do without them. (And if you wash them, they are spoiled.)

  7. Sunshine Brightens our Bells

Posted by Chris on Aug 16th 2013

We have used Sunshine Cloths for a year and they have worked very well. We keep them at every stand and the ease of use has enhanced each ringer's readiness to use them after each rehearsal. This product has become a regular part of our bell choir "equipment."

  8. We Love Sunshine Cloth

Posted by Linda Ashley on Jul 2nd 2013

I have a piece of Sunshine cloth at every music stand and my ringers are encouraged to use them after every practice. I recently included them in every ringer's packet for a ringing event as we were using borrowed bells.

  9. Great!

Posted by Unknown on Jan 31st 2013

They keep our bells looking great with a quick once over after rehearsal. The best thing about these is the lack of rouge. I love being able to polish the bells without getting red all over our hands or gloves.
